A Note from Katz

Founder and Creative Director of The Fertile Wound®

The crux of my passion is seeing every one of us growing into and embodying our fullest and healthiest selves.

When I started The Fertile Wound® back in June 2016, I envisioned creating a space where, as a young adult, I can courageously and vulnerably open my life up which was plagued with failures, depression and heartaches as a way to find healing through it all. The Fertile Wound spoke of growing through our own deep wounds.

In the space of the four years, The Fertile Wound® has morphed its own journey and trajectory that we never dared to imagine, and I believe it is yet to surprise us further. This life blog has become a safe and open community where, as [young] adults in our 20s, we can navigate the highs and lows of young adulthood, together.

Adultin’ (as we millennials have coined this fascinating period of our lives) has proved to be an overwhelming period of our lives, and with the stories and posts that I share here, I am hoping that you will feel a sense of belonging and affirmation that we are going to be alright and get through the painful parts of our adult journeys, thriving as ever!

The Fertile Wound® is a canvas where, as a blogger, my heart’s deepest passion is authentically splashed throughout. The crux of my passion is seeing every one of us growing into and embodying our fullest and healthiest selves. I am all about mental health, love & romance, social justice, spiritual growth and learning different and more empowering ways of being and existing in this world. You will come across each of these themes in all my posts.

As you navigate through The Fertile Wound®, may you be deeply nourished from the inside-out. And I hope you will allow me to journey with you as we blossom into our most radiant selves even in the most wounded places in our lives.

With all my love,
Katlego “Katz” Llale
